Own Correspondent, TDN World, Murshidabad: Gulbahar Bibi, and Habiba Khatun, the wife and younger daughter of Afrajul Islam, a day labourer from Sayyadpur of Malda district in West Bengal who was hacked and burnt to death in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand town, walk in the rally of Welfare Party. 

On Tuesday, besides Afajul’s daughter and wife, Mansa Sen, the state president of WPI, Dr Rais Uddin, the former state president, party women leader Shahajada Parvin, inclunig Mahfujur Rahman, member of the state committee member and others were present in the campaign rally which was taken up from Bangdubi of Suti to Borbon Haat. While addressing the rally, Shahazada Parvin slammed the Congress, BJP and the ruling TMC party. 

Speaking to TDN World, Gulbahar, wife of Afrajul said, “No one will vote for them who had hacked and burnt my husband alive and who had supported it.”  Gulbahar Bibi and her daughter Habiba walked for the campaign rally of Welafare Party’s candidate Dr. SQR Illys, who is contesting from Jangipur constituency. 

In Tuesday’s campaign rally for Welfare Party candidate SQR Illyas Meghnad Haldar of Janjagri Manch for the backward class, party state head Mansa Sen, Dr Rais Uddin, student and youth leader Arafat Ali and others have participated. Following after the rally a public meeting was held near Suti police station. While Addressing the public gathering, Mansa Sen said, ” Pranab babu (Pranab Mukherjee) could have adopted Jangipur. CPI(M), during their 34 years rule, could have implemented various schemes for the benefit of the people. But Congress, CPI(M) and Trinamool all have kept Jangipur in deprivation.” 

“BJP is of no good. They are not to deliver justice and give the people their due rights. They are there to foment communal turbulence”, he added further. 

Former State President, Dr Rais Uddin said, ” No one gives people their right  back.One need to snatch it. The removal of deprivation in Jangupur is only possible, when the people here will raise their voice and vote for their emancipation.” 

“I believe people of Jangipur will again be proud, the brighter day will come, inshallah”, added he. 

Lok Sabha candidate Dr SQR Illys, who is also a member of Muslim Personal Law Board and Babri Masjid action committee, slammed the CPI(M), Congress and TMC party for the destitute state of Jangipur. He also slammed the BJP for its communal politics.
