TDN World Desk: Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee on Monday, November 11 attended a Sikh congregation. While addressing the Sikh community she promised to construct a building with a view to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Addressing a public gathering at the eve of Guru Nanak’s birthday, she said that she has directed Firhad Hakim, the mayor of Kolkata municipality corporation, to identify a suitable place to buil the construction.

“We want to do something to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak. Roads are there in the city after his name. So we want to construct a bhavan (building)”, she said.

“I told Firhad Hakim to indentify a land. We will support in whatever way we can to construct the building,” Banerjee said.
