TDN World Desk:Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah’s dtentio under Public security Act has been revoked on Tuesday by the Indian Governmet.
“Govt issues orders revoking detention of Omar Abdullah,” said the government spokesman, Rohit Kansal on Twitter. Since abrogation of article 370 Omar abdullah has been kept under detention. On February 5, PSA was slapped on him to extend his detention.
Last week Farooq Abdullah another former chief minister of J&K has been relesed afterr govt revoked PSA order.
The development came after Supreme Court asked the Centre Government to explain his detention while hearing a petition filed by omar Abduullah’s sister.
Last day, congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad also slammed the government for the situation in the valley, detention of political leaders and closure of political activities in the state.
