TDN World Desk: Talking to reporters at the sideline of a programme in Raipur, Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that half of the people of his state wouldn’t be able to prove their Citizenship as they don’t have land or land records.

Baghel,58, told the media on Friday that he will follow the example of Gandhi who opposed the identification scheme of Britishers in Africa in 1906. And he will oppose the NRC in a similar manner.

Speaking against the CAA, Baghel said that half of the people in Chattisgarh do not have in their any documents to prove that they are citizens of this country as their ancestors were didn’t have access to letters and had migrated to different villages or states.
