TDN World Desk: Former three times Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah’s detention has been extended by three months.

The five time Member of Parliament Farooq Abdullah and two other former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti were kept under house arrest since August 5. Over 100 days have elapsed Kashmir is still under lockdown. During question hour in the Rajya Sabha on wednesday before the voting on Citizenship Amendment Bill Amit Shah responding to the question posed by Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that situation in kashmir is normalised. People have returned to normal life.

Farooq Abdullah was deatined under the Public Safety Act (PSA). Under the provision of this PSA act that allows a person to taken under detention for three to six months without any trial.
