TDN World desk: At the end-of somersault politics On Thursday evening Sena chief Uddhav Thackerey Swore-in as new Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Uddhav Thackeray wearing saffron silk kurta took the blessings of the ‘Shivrajyabhishek’ or a statue depicting the crowning of Chhatrapati Shivaji before taking oath in Marathi. In an unprecedented move the state witnesses the alliance odf the Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)-Congress alliance, or Maha Vikas Aghadi, formally assuming power.

As per NDTV report, Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita Ambani and son Anant, Raj Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray’s estranged cousin, former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended the oath taking ceremony. Ajit Pawer is likely to be Deputy Chief Minister, this time in the newly-formed Sena government. None of the Congress top leaders – Sonia, Rahul and Manmohan were present in the swearinig-in ceremony.
