TDN World Desk: National Peoples Party(NPP) leader Agatah K Sangma asked the Prime minister Narendra Modi to keep entire Northeast out of Citizenship Amendment Bill. Sangma wrote to Prime Minister on Thursday night.
After Assam situation in Meghalaya also flared up. people protesting the Amendment of Citizenship Bill heckled the convoy of the state chief minister Conrad Sangma. Meghalaya police has announced a two-day shut down of Internet services. And curfiew imposed in parts of the Shillong city to lull the movement.
As chief ministe Conrad’s chopper land’s in the Williamnagar town, people started shouting ‘Conrad go back’.
In the neighbouring Assam was kept under police vigil with deploying additional reserved forces. Till now two people died in clash between police and its civil members.
