TDN World Desk: Caste prejudice is so deeply entrenched in the society that a Minister is not spared from meting out discriminatory treatment.
It is the case of Himachal Pradesh’s social and justice and empowerment Minister Rajiv Saizal.
Speaking at the legislative assembly on Tuesday the Himachal Pradesh Minister claimed that he was barred from entering a temple.
Rajiv Saizal who hails from Bharatiya Janata Party, said as reported by TOI, that he and local MLA Vinod Kumar were not allowed to enter the temple. It was during his official visit to Nanchan assembly constituency of Mandi district.
“I am witness to it. Even today, dalits cannot sit with general category people while having food,” Saizal said in HP assembly.
