TDN World Desk: Alliance partner have changed but not ideology. After becoming Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray clarified that he has not changed his ideological stance. As Shiv Sena annexed with NCP and Congress, many people thought that the party may dilute its Hindutva stance.

Addressing the state assembly Thackeray said, “I am still with the ideology of ‘Hindutva’ and won’t ever leave it. In the past five years, I’ve never betrayed the government.”

On this occasion, Congress’s Nana Patole has sworn in as Speaker after the BJP withdrew its candidate.

Referring to its former ally, BJP Thackeray said: “I can assure this House and people of Maharashtra that I will not do anything at midnight. I will be working for the interests of the people.”

The subtle attack was directed to Maharashtra BJP party for their midnight coup, in which the former government, in harness, joining hands with NCP’s Ajit Pawer.

CM Thackeray also thanked the people of Maharashtra.  “I am a lucky CM because those who opposed me are now with me and those who I was with are now on the opposite side. I am here with my luck and blessings of people. I have never told anyone that I will be coming here but I came, “news agency ANI quoted Thackeray as saying.
