TDN World Desk: Taking note of the Citizenship Amendment Bill legislation by the lower house in Parliament, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan slammed the Indian government.

Sharing the report of Indian Parliament passing the bill, Imran Khan wrote, “We strongly condemn Indian Lok Sabha citizenship legislation which violates all norms of int human rights law & bilateral agreements with Pak. It is part of the RSS “Hindu Rashtra” design of expansionism propagated by the fascist Modi Govt.”

The bilateral relationship between India nad Pakistan is now at its worst since the pulwama attack in February. However, the openning of Kartarpur sahib corridor has created some positivity, especially among the indian Sikh communities.

After India passed the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019, foreign media criticized the move along with US Federal Commission.

New York Times severly criticized the passing of CAB. On Monday the news paper acrried a report describing the bill as “A bill establishing a religious test for immigrants has passed the lower house of Parliament, a major step for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Hindu-nationalist agenda.”

A federal US commission on international religious freedom (USCIRF) asked the American government to impose sanction on Union Home Minister amit Shah and other top leaders if the bill is passed in both the lower and upper house of the Parliament.
