TDN World Desk: On Tuesday, Bangladesh High Court declared ‘Joy Bangla’ as the national slogan of the country. In a further move, the court comprised of two judges bench asked the government to take necessary steps so that ‘Joy Bangla’ is used at events of all academic institutions.

As reported by the state media, important persons of the country also must have to use the slogan at the end of every state programme.

During the hearing of a petition, the HC bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader mentioned that  “Joy Bangla” was the slogan of freedom fighters and people of Bangladesh during the Liberation War in 1971.
