TDN World Desk: Seven months after, farooq Abdullah, the former Jammu & Kashmir Chief minister and Srinagar MP, to be released. On Friday, the state administration revoked his detention, which was put under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).

Following the revocation order, Safia Abdullah Khan, daughter of farooq Abdullah, tweeted about the news.

The srinagar MP has been under detention since August 5, the day of abrogation of article 370 that stripped Jammu and Kashmir the special status.

Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, however continue to remain under detention.
