TDN WOrld Desk: ALL India Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has been expressing its disagreement over Ayodhya verdict and saying that the judgment did not do any justice . As per speculation, on Sunday AIMPLB decided to file a curative petition. The decision was taken at an AIMPLB meeting in Lucknow.
“We have decided to file a review petition as we cannot accept any other land except that meant for the masjid. Thus land offered would not be accepted,” AIMPLB member SQR Ilyas said while addressing the media after their meeting.
AIMPLB has also decided not to accept the 5 acre alternative plot that the Supreme Court has asked the Centre to allot for a mosque.
“The land of the mosque belongs to Allah and under Sharia law, it cannot be given to anybody,” AIMPLB secretary Zafaryab Jilani told reporters after a board meeting in New Delhi.
“The board has also categorically refused to take five-acre land in Ayodhya in lieu of the mosque. The board is of the view that there cannot be any alternative to the mosque,” India Today quoted Jilani.
After ALL India Personal Law Board’s meeting was over Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind chief Maulana Arshad Madan also said that they will go for a review petition.
” Despite the fact that we already know that our review petition will be dismissed 100%, we must file a review petition. It is our right,” Maulana Madani was quoted by ANI.
