Tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah he further said via twitter:
”Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam | वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम -Maha Upanisha Ch 6 Vrs 72, this is for your reference @PMOIndia @AmitShah, it means “The whole world is one family”.Article 15 : State shall not discriminate against any citizen on grounds of RELIGION, this is also for your reference.”
Student activist Syed Azharuddin said, ”MP’s should fight in Parliament for their Voters.”
On Wednesday, adressing a protest in Jantar Mantar New Delhi , Azharuddin, General Secretary of Student’s Islamic Organisation of India, said, ”The Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) is against the spirit of our Constitution and is discriminatory. It proposes to grant citizenship only to Hindus coming to India from neighbouring countries and not to other religious communities. This Bill goes against the basic idea of India as an inclusive, diverse, secular, and democratic nation envisaged by the founding fathers of our Constitution.”
”It is part of the agenda of communal polarization and we are sure the people of India will not fall prey to such divisive politics,” he added.
Here are some tweets voicing against the implementation of CAB.
Civil right organisation, United Against said that CAB is aginst the constitution and the ruling BJP government is using it as a tool to ”polarise the majority votes by oppressing minorities.”
