Own Correspondent,TDN World:The Alliance for Progressive Indians has been working intensively partnered with other NGOs to arrange fund and reach out to the vulnerable people with a mission to ensure no one dies of hunger.
Speaking on its mission The Alliance for Progressive Indians said,” Through this campaign we are raising funds to assist our Indian partners in their fight against hunger during Covid19 pandemic. We are also trying to create awareness through our passionate and dedicated volunteers spread across India.”
” We are a group of like minded Indians based across the world who intend to work for the betterment of the Indian Society. We have come together for providing relief to the worst hit in India by COVID-19. We want to create awareness across the globe about the critical conditions of individuls below thee poverty line. We are raising funds to help the challenges faced by the lockdown and stand with them in solidarity in these tough times.”
Partnered with Ketto the organization has been carrying out relief works in 12 states (Assam, Andhra Pradesh,Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal ) and expect to expand its reach.
The Organization went live on 30th March 2020, and since then it has supported 4 NGOs including Karwan-e-Mohabbat (New Delhi), Kashtakari Panchayat(Pune), Samarpan (Mumbai) and Hasiru Dala(Bengaluru). 9 individuals has been working hard from cities like Kolkata, Noida, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Gudur, Bengaluru and Faridabad.
“1 fundraiser has reached its goal in record time, while other 8 campaigns are still going,” said the organization.
The Alliance for Progressive Indians is a group of Indian academics, students, doctors, lawyers, engineers, researchers and humanitarians.
The Alliance for Progressive Indians urge people to help them in their mission “of reaching out to the most vulnerable sections of the society through your donations, contributions and solidarity. So that in this time of Pandemic no one should die of hunger!!”.
