TDN World Desk: As the country is going through severe economic crisis BJP leader Subramanian Swami came out with unique proposal to solve the problem.
Swamy, currently a Rajya Sabha MP and a former cabinet minister, said that inscribing goddess Lakshmi’s image on bank notes could “improve the condition of the Indian currency”.
Subaramanian Swamy was speaking at an event on Swami Vivekananda in Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa district.
During the question, answer session, responding to a question about the picture of Lord Ganesha printed on the Indonesian currency, Swamy said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi can answer this question. I am in favour (of this). Lord Ganesha removes obstacles. I rather say that a picture of Goddess Lakshmi (on currency notes) may improve the condition of Indian currency. Nobody should feel bad about this.” Swami was quoted by The Financial Express.
During the Programme Swami told the audience that after CAA Uniform Civil Code is in the pipeline. Citing Article 44 he claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party will soo introduce the Uniform Civil Code in the country.
