TDN World Desk: Union Human Resource Development Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on Saturday said the country’s new education policy will be based on Vedic knowlegde-science as envisioned by Mahamana Pt Madan Mohan Malviya, reported The Hindustan Times.
During a virtual inaugural of the three-day national webinar on ‘Covid-19:The Mahamana’s Indian vision in global context’ organised by Mahamana Malaviya Mission, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), the HRD Minister said,“The whole world is looking towards India. At present, the ideas of Mahamana are certainly very important for us. Our cultural heritage is our strength. Based on the vision of Mahamana, we will bring a new education policy that will be based on Vedic knowledge and science. It will come true to Mahamana’s vision and meet his expectations. Ancient knowledge should become part of every discipline”.
“We need to act with solidarity in tough times to win the fight against the Covid-19,” he added.
With the passage of amended CAA law and announcement of nationwide NRC people of the country has raised concern over the Modi government’s deviation from the secular path as mandated in constituton.
On May 9, report of Modi govt. granting income-tax exemption for the donation of Ram Temple Trust and now this remark by HRD minister of introducing new national education policy based on Vedic-science further consolidates the basis of that skepticism.
