TDN World Desk: After Students protest in Northeast over the legislation of Citizenship Amendment Bill, 25,000 students in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh Muslim University announced to go on huger strike and called for a complete lock down of the University.
One of the students talking to media person, said that the exclusion of Muslims from the bill, and the government’s plan of nation wide NRC is nothing but genocidal intention of the government.
Disappointed over the role of the University’s Vice Chancellor, Tariq Mansoor and professors, the students have issued show-cause notice them seeking explanation of their silence over NRC and CAB issue. They also plan to boycott their end semester exams, if needed.
“There’s no way we accept this bill. This is a moment of do or die for us. Each and every Muslim is together in this. There is no going back now”, Ahmad Mujtaba Faraz, student leader of AMU told news outlet Maktoob.
