TDN World Desk: Second phase polling in 20 assemble seats in Jharkhand is underway. On Saturday, two at least one people died and six other injured following clashes and subsequent police firing. The incident of violence took place in Gumla district.

The deceased identified as Mohammad Geelani (28). The situation get tensed in the 36 no constituency in Sisai due to delay in voting. Reportedly, The angry people started pelting stones at the police personnel, to which, police opened fire killing one youth. In the clashes at Sisai, an officer in-charge Vishnu Deo Chauhdray and two policemen sustained injuries as well.

The Election Commission has sought an explanation from the Gumla district administration.

In another incident, Maoist Guerrillas torched a bus which was going to a polling booth in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district.
