TDN World Desk: In a shocking development, the Karnataka IAS officer, who ordered inspection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s helicopter during last year’s election campaign, on Friday got a show-cause notice over his recent tweet questioning media’s silence over members of the Tablighi Jamaat donating plasma to help other patients battling COVID-19 to recover from the disease.
Mohammad Mohsin, posted as a secretary in the Backward Classes Welfare Department in Karnataka, on April 27 tweeted, “More than 300 Tablighi Heroes are donating their plasma to serve the country in New Delhi only. What about? #Godi Media? They will not show the works of humanity done by these heroes.” However, succumbing to Government he deleted the tweet.
A 1996 batch IAS officer from Karnataka cadre hailing from Bihar Mohsin was served notice, on April 30, by the Karnataka BJP government asking explanation of his remark on tweet.
Mohsin told PTI, “Yes, I have got the notice and shortly I am giving reply as per the rules.”
Mohsin recieved came into light earlier during during 2019 general election for giving order to inspect Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s helicopter as a poll-observer.
