TDN World Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said there had been no discussion on the word ‘NRC’ during his five years’ tenure as Prime Minister.
But Narendra Modi’s statement here on Ramlila Maidan, Delhi directly contradicts with Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister.
Shah in a poll campaign during Jharkhand election said that he NRC would be implemented through out the country before 2024.
Speaking in a poll campaign Shah said, “Today, I want to tell you that before the 2024 polls the NRC will be conducted across the country and each and every infiltrator identified and expelled. Rahul Baba (Congress leader Rahul Gandhi) says don’t expel them. Where will they go, what will they eat? But I assure you that before the country goes to polls in 2024 all illegal immigrants will be thrown out.”
Ahead of Delhi assembly election, on Sunday PM Narendra Modi slammed the opposition parties. Taking jibe at Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee for her ‘UN’ remark, Modi said what Didi is so afraid of. Modi so denied the existence of any detention camps in the country.
