TDN World Desk: After Yogi Adityanath governments’ ‘name and shame’ posters of the CAA-protesters,the Swamajwadi party, in a counter move, has put up banners of former Union minister Chinmayanand and Kuldeep Singh Singer, both of whom are behind the bars in rape case.
swamajwadi leader IP Singh posted in his Twitter handle a picture of the hoarding, that was put up nest to those displaying 53 anti-CAA protesters.And the SP leader wrote, as News 18 reports,When protesters don’t have any privacy and even after the orders of High Court and Supreme Court, Yogi Government is not taking down hoardings. So I have also decided to put up get some hoardings of named criminals, our daughters should be aware of them.”
In a seperate tweet, Singh wrote: “People who will oppose hoardings will be supporters of Rapists and will be Anti Woman. Before doing a contempt of the High Court and Supreme Court and disobeying our Constitution the BJP should introspect themselves first. BJP is Anti Woman.”
however, UP police took down the hoarding carrying rape-accused Kuldeep Singh Sengar and Chinmayanand’s picture and stepped up vigils.
On Thursday, supreme court rebuked the UP government during the hearing of ‘name and shame’ posters of the anti-CAA protesters, refusing to stay the Allahabad High Court order to put down the hoarding.
The apex court also told the Yogi Adityanath government that there is no law to support your action.
