TDN World Desk: Today (Thursday) Delhi police arrested Popular Front of India’s Delhi chief and secretary over alleged link with north east Delhi violence and ‘funding’ anti-CAA protests.

Speaking to news agency IANS one unnamed official told that they have arrested Parvez Ahmed and Mohammad Illyas for ‘instigating’ people during violence, even they had role in ‘funding’ the violence.

As reported by The Cognate, PFI’s General Secretary, Anis Ahmed denied the charges. Ahmed said the arrest is a ”witch hunt” against the organisation; “target is not merely a particular group, but all voices and endeavours opposes to RSS-BJP agenda of CAA-NPR-NRC and Delhi pogrom.”

Reportedly PFI staged protest at Jantar Mantar demanding release of their leaders.
