TDN World Desk: In ashocking incident, a man in Uttar Pradesh gunned down his wife as she refused to give her husband money for buying liquor.

The heinous domestic violence took place at Bhatoli village in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. According to a report by vernacular daily Hindustan, Deepak Singh shot his four months pregnant wife Neha to death for her denial to give him money for buying alcohol.

First Deepak asked for money from his 25-year-old wife Neha. To which, Neha protested and refused to dispose money for buying liquor. Outraged by the refusal Deepak took out gun and shot his wife in front of his 4-year-old son.

Alarmed by the sound of gunshot neighbours came out and found her dead body while Deepak fled from the scene.

The accused man was arrested next day morning. His four-year-old son of ascertained of her mother’s killing by him.

Since the enforcement of nationwide lockdown, in March, liquor shops were remained closed. However, after 42 days of lockdown Modi government lifted the restriction and allowed openning of alcohol shops. According to another report, UP has reaped a hefty profit of Rs 100 crore in the first day after restriction on liquor selling lifted.
