TDN World Desk:The Delhi police crime branch has sealed a private school that was torched by Hindutva mob during the eruption of vilence in the north-east part of Delhi.

Faisal Farooq, the owner of the school was arrested by police in connection with the ‘riot’, reported.

“We have arrested the owner of Rajdhani Public School, Shiv Vihar, and are probing his role in the riots,” a police officer was quoted by maktoob as saying.

On 24 February Hindutva vigilants group barged into the school,set ablaze some classroom, vandalized furnitures.

On Friday, at evening time Delhi police’s crime branch sealed 16 class rooms of the school.The crime branch team came withuout any prior notice and even did not disclose on which ground they sealed those class rooms. Speaking to The Hindustan Times school principal Sadaf faisal said this.

Sadaf told HT that Delhi police crime branch arrested her husband and the owner of the school, Faisal Farooq on Saturday evening.

“We have no idea why we are being punished? My husband and I have worked in the field of education throughout our lives. We do not know why police are trying to defame us by linking my husband’s name to the violence,”said Sadaf.
