TDN World Desk: Shiv Sena not stops surprising the people of Mumbai. After breaking with long-time ally BJP it joined the pro secular paries, inducted Abdul Sattar, a Muslim MLA, as junior minister. Now Sanajay Raut, a senior leader from the hindutva party, to attend an anti-CAA,NRC function organised by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.

Raut, who is also the editor of Saamna, a Shiv Sena mouth-piece, said on Thursday that he will attend a Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) function to oppose the Citizenship Act and National Register of Citizens (NRC).

During this programme at Marathi Prakar Sangha Sena leader Sanjay Raut retired Justice B G Jolse Patil, senior counsel Mihir Desai and APCR president and senior advocate Yusuf Mucchala will speak on the relationship between CAA and NRC “to understand their constitutional implications”.

Shiv Sena had backed the Citizenship law in the Parliament and walked out during the passage of the bill in the Rajya Sabha.
