TDN World Desk: On Monday #HindusAgainstCAB becomes worldwide twitter trend as thousands of Twitterati took to twiter expressing their views against the Citizenship Act which is being largely criticised for its anti-Muslim nature.

After Citizenship Amendment Bill got Rajya Sabha nod, Norteast and parts of India including delhi, Kerala, Bengal, Maharashtra have been going through massive protests killing several people in the cause. On Sunday police crack down on students of AMU and JMI shook the student body and civilsociety.

According to the CAA, people who are from Hindus, Christians, Jains, Sikhs, Parsi, Buddhists and have entered India from neighbouring three Muslim majority countries – Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be eligible for Indian Citizenship even if they don’t carry proper documents. This new law will in no way avail the Muslims in the country if their names are left out of NRC.

RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav dubbed the name of BJP sarcastically as ‘Bharat Jalao Party’ for adopting Citizenship Act.

Quoting Swami Vivekananda, one Twitter user, Aditya Ojha expressed solidarity with fellow Muslims citizens he wrote #HindusAgainstCAB

Opposing CAB Mehul Jain said,” India was a secular nation, India is a secular nation and India will be. Those who have fantasies to harm our secularism must know we the youth will not let them succeed.”

Abhik Ghosh wrote, “I’m a Hindu. I oppose #CAB. I oppose #NRC. I will stand by my people no matter what religion they believe in. We celebrate Durga Pujo together! I stand by my Bengali identity!
I’d observe civil disobedience & not show any documents!”
