TDN World Desk: One cop and two fire personnel have been injured as protests turn violent on Sunday in South-delhi new Friends Colony area. To disperse the agitating people who took to streets protesting the anti-Citizenship Act police used tear gas charged batons.
From Sunday morninmg delhi police’s traffic control unit uses its Twitter handle to guide travellers for a safe and unhazerdous journey.
The protest march was held by loacal people where Jamia Millia students have also taken part. But
At least three buses were set ablaze, batons and teargas were used and the police were seen chasing protesters through the streets.
As reported by NDTV the protests march was hijacked by some thugs, Delhi police stated unofficilly. Jamia Millia students have distanced from the vilence. These outsider hooligans have created the turmoil torching vehicles, pelting stones at the cops.
Posting in Twitter, delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, said,”No one shud indulge in violence. Any kind of violence is unacceptable. Protests shud remain peaceful.”
