Deliberately attaching corona with the marginalized minority Muslim community. As if, the diseas is trnsmitted by the Muslims. Case has been filed against a Hospital in Meerut, UP for issuing a controversial advertisement on news paper that demands corona negative certificate from the Muslim patients only,as a condition to admit them.

Reportedly, on Friday Valentis Cancer Hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut has put out an advertisement in a Hindi Daily Dainik Jagaran that it will not take in new Muslim patients if they don’t come with a negative test result for Covid-19.

As reported by The Statesman, SP Rural Avinash Pandey confirmed media that Police has taken cognisance of the matter and a case has been registered against Dr Amit Jain and hospital management under Sections 188, 295 (a) and 505 of IPC at the Incholi Police Station.

In the cotroversial Islamophobic advertisement the Hospital authority made it mandatory for the new Muslim patients and their attendants to come with COVID negative certificae. The advertisement mentioned that their decision was taken in view of the spread of the virus among the members of Tablighi Jamaat.

As reported by The Wire, the hospital blamed Tablighi Jaamat for the rise of number of COVID-19 in Meerut. Taking cognisance of the dicriminatory advertisement, the Meerut district administration on Sunday directed the hospital to tender an apology, or its license would be suspended.

“By discriminating on the basis of religion the hospital has violated medical ethics. We will issue a notice to the hospital and it will have to issue offer a public apology. If it doesn’t do so its license will be suspended for discriminating on the basis of religion,” said Meerut chief medical officer Raj Kumar as quoted by The Wire.
