Own Correspondent, TDN World, Kolkata: Madrasa teachers in Bengal decided to carry out blood donation camp to ensure no blood crisis take place due to the ongoing lockdown.
Israrul Haque Mondal, president of Bengal Madrasa Education Forum, said,” In summer usually blood availability gets affected. An now during the ongoing lock down it will really be tough to get blood.So, we madrasa teachers decided to conduct blood donation camp in various districts.”
Due to the pandemic people are not able to carry out blood donation as before. But this time patients who are in need of blood could be in trouble. So the madrasa teachers’ association in Bengal have decided to organize blood donation camp and help the sick people.
In most of the madrasas in the state blood donation camp will be set up under the adiministership of district supervisor.
Meanwhile Madrasa teachers have started their initiative.
On Thursday Madrasa Education Forum carried out a blood donation camp in Behrampore, Murshidabad.
Local administrations, police are also co-operating in this noble venture.
Israrul Haque told TDN, “People are in fear because of this deadly virus. Since last 16 days arrangement of usual blood donation camp has been hampered.But to save life blood is essential. Following proper lock down protocol, social distancing, and chief minister’s order the teachers have come forward.”
“We have to maintain social distancing to combat coronavirus. At the same time we have to save lives. Beside, police, administration, health workers, Madrasa teachers are also putting their efforts to do their bits in the fight against coronavirus. This pandemic teaches us that our only identity is we are social being – humans.”
Students, social workers have welcomed their noble initiative.
