Kolkata: Jamaat-e-Islami, West Bengal chapter has taken a path-breaking initiative to extend life-supporting assistance to the sick and ailing people, especially the Covid-19 patients by setting up free oxyzen centre for them.
Since last couple of months the Muslim outfit JIH has been trying its best to render humanitarian services to the needy and underprivileged people rising above the narrow barrier of religion, caste, and creeed.
Speaking over the initiative, the organization said,” Amid this hour of crisis, Oxyzen is essential for the critically sick patients. So, we have decided to organize the Oxyzen centre.”
“At Primary stage a oxyzen centre will be set up at the MM Model Scool in Kolkata. Then we will expand it in other parts of the state as per reqirment. Besides corona patients, others will also be provided oxyzen if recommended by the doctors.Many people will be benefited, said Abdur Rafique, JIH state president.
But, how effective will be the decision taken by JIH? One doctor based in Kolkata said,”Ofcourse, it is a need of time. Many poor patients will get benifit.”
