TDN World Desk: A year back , in his first year of presidential tenure , Trump proved to be adamant and arrogant in making decision to not host Ramadan dinner breaking with a tradition that was followed by his predecessors , Obama, George Bush, Bill Clinton. But , this year president Trump seems to be in tune with that tradition,again.

Politico reports , ” President Donald Trump will host an iftar dinner at the White House next week to recognize the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, according to a White House official, a departure from last year’s decision not to host the traditional post-sundown meal.”

The schedule for the dinner is set on Wednesday. The White House gave no clue about the list of the attendees joining the dinner table.

In the month of Ramadan, after a daylong fast from dawn to sundown, Muslims break the fast by taking meal, called Iftar.
Trump is known for his animosity against the Muslim. During his presidential election campaign, he clearly showed his anti-Muslim stance. And after he becomes President, he made the controversial decision of Muslim travel ban. This year, however, the wind ,supposedly, is changing its direction; acting on a different line, as he issued a statement at the beginning of Ramadan saying,
” Ramadan reminds us of the richness Muslims add to the religious tapestry of American life.”
And now, unlike previous year, for the first time , he is to host a Ramadan dinner
