TDN World Desk: Border conflict between India nad its neighbouring country China has been a very delicate issue. Stoking flame into that troubled matter an updated version issued by Sky Map has revealed that China has included parts of Arunachal Pradesh within its international boundaries.

Sky Map, China’s authority on digital maps, is constructed and operated by a unit directly under Beijing’s National Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Bureau.Germany based DW media, has repoted over the Indo-Chinese border. Recently, Sky Map users discovered that it has updated the country’s map with the latest national borders, where it engulfed part of India’s Arunachal Pradesh, said the report.

Arunachal Pradesh, a hill state in the Northeast bordering Tibet, was part of British India in 1913-14 and formally included in India when the McMohan Line was established as the border between India and Tibet in 1938. The dispute over Indo-Chinese border has earlier led the two countries into war in 1962.

On February 9, ahead of 2019 general election China government protested when Prime Minister Narendra Modi went on a visit to Arunachal Pradesh for a election campaign.

Then hinese foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said in a statement: “The Chinese government has never recognised the so-called ‘Arunachal Pradesh’ and is firmly opposed to the Indian leader’s visit”.
