TDN World Desk: Muslim televangelist Zakir Naik filed a fresh defamation law suit aginst the Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P Ramasamy on Monday.

Zakir Naik, who is currently residing in Malysia, claimed that Ramasamy had defamed him through his comments published in The Malaysian Insight on Nov 8.

According to Malaysiakini, a Malaysian news daily, the writ of summon was filed through the law firm Messrs Akberdin & Co over the article titled “DAP leader accuses Zakir camp of ‘faking’ Tamil Tigers revival”.
This is second law suit filed by Zakir Naik against the Penang Deputy Chief Minister.

Zakir Naik, who hails from Mumbai and had millions of fan-base across the world, was accused of money-laundering case by Indian government. However, Zakir Naik denied the charges. On the contrary he alleged that he was politically targeted by the BJP government.
