TDN World Desk: International body that deals with the threatened species suggested that over 8,400 wild falura and fauna types are in the purview of extinction and 30,000 others are vulnerable.

“Based on these estimates, it is suggested that over a million species are threatened with extinction,” the environmental body said.

The Geneva-based Intrlernational Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is the only International observer organization in the UN General Assembly. This Global union
issued a statement to raise awareness over endangered and critically endangered wildlife.

It said in the statement that it aims to bring into public light conservation efforts’ power to reverse the fate of the endangered species by highlighting UN World Wildlife Day 2022 on March 3.
