Turkey announced that it would prepare reports on act of Islamophobia and racism in Western countries, Daily Sabah reports.

Turkey Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu confirmed about the move.

Speaking at an event held by the ruling Justice and Development Party’s (AK Party) said that untill today European Union and the United States have been publishing reports on Turkey and other countries, but from now on, Turkey will also produce its own reports “for the good of humanity.”

He also gave clear message that his country will no longer play the role of dice in others’ game in matters that concerns itself.

“Diplomacy is always our priority, but we also teach those who do not believe in diplomacy to come back to the table,” he said.

In the report Daily Sabah points out that The tolerant political climate under the pretext of freedom of speech has helped far-right sympathizers with violent tendencies expand their support.

The report further says, “For instance, Islamophobia is being disguised as secularism in France, a French opposition leader had said in criticism of the Emmanuel Macron-led government, which has recently come under fire for policies against Muslims living in the country.”

“There is hatred toward Muslims under the guise of secularism in this country. Secularism does not mean to hate a religion”, the report quoted Jean-Luc Melenchon, a French leader as saying.

It is to be noted that an investigation conducted by US media NPR reveals that since 2015 as many as 135 unarmed black people were killed by US police.

Not only in US, White-supremacy or racism is a burnning issue in European countries. In addition to that Islamophobia is also on rise in the European countries. Statesman like Emmanuel Macron, Boris Jhonson are often alleged to be Islamophobic.
