TDN World Desk: Several thousands people demonstrate outside Delhi Jama Masjid after Friday prayer against the controversial Citizenship Act. Bhima Army under the leadership of Chandra Shekhar Azad led today’s protests rally. As per sources, several political leaders from affiliated to other parties joined the march.

Additional police force deployed in the mosque premises. Police sources said, demonstration at the site of mosque is prohibited. However, Delhi police likely to take no action. From early morning police deployment has been increased. After verifing identity proof the police allowing people to enter mosque for Friday prayer. Police claimed that the protesters also entered into the inner circle of the mosque.
Bhim Army chief Chandra Shekhar Azad carried a replica of constitution during the demonstration. Police requested him not to demonstrate in the area.

For last few days Delhi witnesses a number of protests and agitations. On Wednesday, Jama Masjid’s Shahi Imam said that no one can stop people protesting in a democratic way. He also said Muslims in the country need not to fear the Citizenship Act.
