TDN World Desk: On Sunday police barged into Jamai Millia campus, vandalized library, fired tear gas at the students, indiscriminately charged lathi.

Given the situation, the Jamia Millia Vice Chancellor Najma Akhtar on Monday said that the University authority will not tolerate police presence in the campus and also demanded a high level probe into the police brutality perpetrated previous night.

“We will file FIR on the damage of property and police action on students, we want high-level inquiry. I will present facts to the HRD Minister,” Ms Akhtar was quoted by India Today.
